Close the recycling gap…
Buy recycled products!

By Recycling and buying Recycled products you can help:

  • Conserve the planets natural resources for future generations
  • Buy Recycled ProductsReduce the amount of trash going to landfills
  • Protect our ground water, oceans, creeks, and streams from contaminated landfill runoff
  • Reduce air pollution and ozone depletion, and
  • Slow down Global Warming
  • The recycling process creates far more jobs than landfills or incinerators, and recycling can frequently be the least expensive waste management method for cities and towns.

What does the Recycle symbol mean on consumer packages-Does it mean that the product is recycled or recyclable?

Unfortunately, the use of the recycling logo is not regulated by law, therefore, the logo doesn’t have to mean either. If the label only says recycle or recyclable it may have no recycled content in it and quite possibly be non-recyclable.

If you want to make sure that you are buying a product that uses recycled content, check the words on the label that state what percentages of the product packaging is made from recycled materials. When buying materials we urge you to buy products that use the highest percentage of post-consumer recycled content.

What does post-consumer and pre-consumer recycled products mean?

A post-consumer material indicates the product was made with materials that were recycled by residents and businesses. Pre-consumer recycled materials are made from industry scraps.

Listed below are web-sites that sell recycled, organic, and environmental friendly products for your home and/or business.
